How do you treat a child’s cancer if you have no medicines?
These children were born in Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, and were diagnosed with cancer. Kyrgyzstan is one of the poorest countries in the world. The economy is far too small for their government to be able to afford cancer drugs. Before 2000 all children with cancer died because there was no treatment. Now hundreds of children each year are being saved by the medicines which we provide. We take the most difficult cases to European hospitals, where more lives are saved with Bone Marrow Transplants and advanced surgery.
